The movie,Hedwig And Angry Inch

What do you imagine when you hear this movie title? You might have a great imaginative ability so come up with a lot of ideas. This movie has been one of my favorites movies since I have seen first time.This movie was made basd on the musical so there are a lot of songs which main character Hedwig sang in it. I have never seen such a souful and philosophic songs about sex before.

The boy Hansell who was born in the East Germany in the cold war era was a heroes.His dream was to become a rock singer in America. One day he decided to take a sex change surgery because he wanted to break out his rigid coutry. Therefore he was reduced to applying to get married with the American solder.

Unfortunately "angry inch" remained in his groin due to the failure of the operation. He changed his name Hansell to Hedwig(a female name,but using that word "wearing a wig") When I was 15 years old,this movie made me think about sex in human. If someone feel this movie poor,I really recommend you to look back to you with his songs and an unique story!

The Black House

This movie was inspired by a Japanese novel written in 1997.

Juno is an ordinary salaried worker working for a life insurance company. One day, he answered a strange inquiry on service phone from someone talking gloomily. The woman asked that if client dies, how much money would be offerd. Juno shouldn't have answerd in his own opinion based on emotion. Actually, most of the counselors of insurance company have to comply with the guide book when they answer the inquiries. Juno said that All her life is valuable, so she must not kill by herself.

Some days later, Juno was requested to visit for counseling from a man. The man's name is Choong-bae and he has some insurance receipts. When Juno arrived at Choong-bae's house, there was a child hung from a beam. Choong-bae acted so weird studying Juno's face and he asked a lot of money. The conclusion about the dead boy is formed as a suicide through the police investigation. Juno had been feeling suspicious and restarted investigation by himself.

He noticed that Choong-bae's wife(E-hwa) had insured some years ago. Then he warned to E-hwa that Choong-bae would kill her. But she has a record of divorce three times. In fact, all of her ex-husbands had been killed by her. It is the top turning over in this movie. She can't feel pain and any guilty, because she is a psychopath! Now, Juno is the last target of her.

IF ONLY

Ian and Samantha has met for years. Ian had loved Samantha so much but he could not have much time to take care of her. One day he had a very important appointment with his company but unfortunatly, the day was Samantha's graguation concert. She had really wanted him to come to her concerts but Ian had forgotten about that and he had been thinking about his seminar. And then he had just gone to work. Samantha had found Ian's documentaries for his seminar. She went to his company to give him them. however, the seminar was interrupted by her and Ian got angry with her. They had a argument.

Dracula, by Bram Stoker.

The horror novel written by Bram Stoker was not been the first vampire novel, but was the one in the mind of the readers.

It was published in May 1897. Bram Stoker got the idea as a result of indigestion with crabs, he had hallucinations about a king of the vampires that left his tomb in search of blood. The main character of his story was inspired by the Prince of Valaquia, Vlad Sods, known to carry out bloodthirsty acts, and to drink the blood of some of his victims.

This novel is told as a series of diary entries and letters, this is the best part because I fell into the story. This book told about how Dracula lived, what he did, and how Jonathan Harker, other main character, were invited to live for a while in the Dracula’s Castle. While Jonathan had been living in the castle he noticed weird things and try to escape. At the end of the story, Jonathan and other characters who were appearing during the story, killed Dracula. Read this book because was really amazing!

This book has been made into a movie, but I did not like it. The movie told the story in a very different way. When I was watching it I was really disappointment because I hoped it woul be a good movie.

I really recommend this book. It was a really great experience reading it. When I was reading it I felt scare but I did not stop to read. This book really involved to me. I had been reading another books before, but no one like this. You have to read it!

Story about a Book

Souad has been a women, who grew up in the West Bank. She lived in a Muslim family. Her daily life was hard. She had to get up early , then she had to take the sheeps to the willow. She had to cook for the whole family and she had to clean the house and the cowshed. She had never seen anything else than her house and the way to the willow. Almost every day she had been beaten by her father. Sometimes she had to sleep in the cowshed, because in her village women were worth less than a cow. She couldn't have gone to the school neither go to a other place. There the life as a women was terrible.

When she was 17, she fell in love with a man. Unfortunately she was not allowed to marry this guy, because she had had a older sister who had to be married first. Nevertheless she met secretly the man. After a few weeks she noticed that her menstruation fell out. She was pregnant. Of course that was a big problem. 3 Month later her father felt that something was wrong. Finally he realized that his daugther was pregnant. She injured the honour of her family. Souad knew that something bad happened. One day, she was heating the oven, her brother came with a big bottle and he emptied it over her head. One second later Souad was burning all over the body. She run to the street and throw herself on the street. While she was turning herself some women came to help her to choke the fire, then she became powerless.

When she waked up, she was in a hospital. She felt the pain all over. Her skin was burned and she couldn't move. Some days later a women from Switzerland came to visit her. Rebekka was her name and she had been working for an Organisation, which had been helping people like Souad. Women like Souad hadn't received some help from people (friends, family etc.) neither from the hospital employees. Rebekka decided to take her to Switzerland, where she received help.

Souad had in Switzerland a lot of operations an skintransplantations. However it was the only way to save her life. Today she had been living in Germany as a satisfied women with her own family.

300 the movie

Spartans prepare for glory !

By the year 480 BC , the ruler of Sparta King Leonidas declared the war to the Persian empire ruled by King Xerxes, Xerxes commanded an army composed of more than 300.000 soldiers to conquered the Greeks states, Our protagonist King Leonidas asked to Sparta senate to brought the entire Sparta army to war. But the senate was been controlled by King Xerxes and opposed the suggestion of King Leonidas, the only chance Leonidas had is to went to battle with his personal bodyguards composed of 300 great warriors.

And there in the Thermopylae Valley 300 super warriors battle with the huge but inexperienced army of the Persian empire, the Spartans with they formation stopped the advanced of theirs enemy and began a counter strike by killing in one day more than 10000 soldiers and without any casualties. Our antagonist King Xerxes began to get mad because he couldn't believed that his amazing army that had conquered a lot of nations cant defeated the small but ferocious army of King Leonidas.

King Xerxes took the decision to killed all of his commanders ,to now managed his huge army by himself, he first action was to called his personal elite bodyguards called the immortals, this bodyguards composed of veteran and mutant soldiers are fierce by all soldiers in the Ancient Era, but this army couldn't did anything against the powerful Spartans.

Xerxes only could won this battle by a simple action that was to corrupted one Spartan , this traitor told the Persians a way to destroyed King Leonidas army, and now our King surrounded by many Persians was killed with his entire army, but his dead no was in vain this courage gave the other Greeks states the power to finished this war and gave the Greeks the victory.

Amelie a Review by Kei

Amelie has been a waitress in a small Montmartre cafe in Paris. When she was young, her mother died from being hit by a suicidal woman who threw herselef off the top of Notre Dame Cathedral. Her father became more neurotic after his wife's death (He had been originally neurotic). He thought that Amelie suffered from a heart disease by mistake and grew her up isolated from other children. Therefore Amelie became a slightly peculiar woman who likes cracking creme brulee with a teaspoon, taking a walk in the sunshine, and so on. She was not good at making a relationship with others. Her life had been very simple.

It changed suddenly one day. By the accident she found an old box hidden by a boy who had lived in her apartment thirty years ago. She decided to return it to the owner and succeeded. The owner was so impressed and cried. After that she devoted her life to goodness and made many people happy with funny ways. For example, she helped a grocery store's cachier who was bullied by the owner.

Even though she was able to make many people happy, she was still lonely. One day she found a man whose name was Nino. His hobby was collecting the discarded photographs of strangers from passport photo booths. He was a peculiar, too. Amelie got his collecting book on the road and got interested in him. As she was not good at talking with others, she hesitated to talk with him. She spent a lot of time to return it to him. With her neighbor's help, she fell in love with him finally.Then she became much happier with him.

Medicin's unforgettable trip in her life

Madicin has been to Jeju Island, where is located on South Korea,of couse,part from mainland.
There is like an island of eternal summer. This travel was really impressive for her because of her last family traveling with her broher who was drafted by Korean conscription.

Her Madicin's eyes was glowing at the thought of having lot of memory of trip when I had an interview to her.Her memories was everything that she have ever experiend in her life. She have eaten seafoods,which was a kind of expensive shells and but looked really strange and also purple color. However it tasted pretty good for her.She have tried to eat a coconut, is gatherd up in an island of eternal summer, the way to drink was to suck coconut through a straw directly,so it was her first time to drink juice such as that way. She also have visited to park which has tropical trees, she meant I thought palms.
This trip to Jeju Islands is unforgettable in her life!

David's traveling story

My partener's name is David. He is from Columbia. David's first

vacation has been when his fahter has taken him to Miami city in

the USA, to visit an aunt. He has gone to the Disneyworld in Orlando with his brothers, only sister, mother, and father. He has visted all the parks and rode some attractions. He has enjoyed a lot, because he has really liked attractions likes rollercoster, especially hounted house. Moreover, He has gone disney presentation and played with the disney characters. He likes Micky mouse among some disney characters. In there, he has stayed in hotel, this hotel was very nice and clean. A day, he went to big shopping mall to buy something with all of his family. They have enjoyed shopping with fun, but they have been aware that a brothers of him got lost in there. They have really surprised when David's brother disappeared , but they have been so fortunate to find him. This travel has been so nice in his mind, except for this happening.

I interviewed David. He is proud of his country which is Columbia, because he really loves his country. The one thing he loves the most is his family, because his family always help him, whenever he has a problem and trouble. If he could be, he wanted to be Alvaro Uribe. He is a great and amazing leader in his country. He likes his height about his physical appearance. He is tall. He thinks that it makes him looks like strong and good. He loves Ofelia who is his grandmother. She always takes care of him, so David likes and respects her. His most important possession is a shirt, becase it made by his grandmother who he loves. I think that it must be really good present for him in his life. He is afraid of being alone. When he has been alone, he felt like nobody loves him.

Hitomi's travel story

Hitomi has been to England to study English when she was 14. She had to have taken an airplane for 14 hours to get England. She has met great people who came from different countries; Germany, France and Korea. She staied in a domitory in her school while she was there. One of her best friends in the school was from Korea whoes name was Ji Yoen. Even though she was much older than Hitomi, she was so polite and very supportive, Hitomi said. She has been keeping in touch with the friends who she met in England for about 5 years. She has visited the Big Ben, which is very famous in all over the world. She was impressed a lot when she saw it. It was very old but It was very big and artisitc, she said. She has watched the Peter pan which is a Disney movie around the Big Ben.

Hitomi, I interviewed, is Japanese. She is here to study English just for a month. There are four people in her family. She wishes to be like her father because her father is a doctor and runs a hospital in her town. There are many poor people around there and her father examines the poor without payment. She has an older sister. She likes her so much. She said that she is easy going and dull but her sister always takes care of her. She appreciate that, she said. She is good looking and fashionable. When I asked to her what she likes about her phisical apperence, she answered that she likes her ears in shy. She has small ears and she likes wearing accessories on her ears. It was pretty good time that I could interviewed Hitomi and got to know eachother.

Hide's travel story (written by Ana)

Hide has been to Niagara Falls with his friends from PGIC all day. He has been a casino member, so he can pay only $10 to go there by the agency bus. He said that the water there was very lean when it's compared to the water in his country and the falls was wonderful, probably a really magic view. He said that he never had been in a place like this before and one of his friends did the same trip by bicycle once. The oportunity to see all the nature around you is unique so it's better to walk and enjoy the background instead of be stuck in the casinos.

In the hotel near the falls we can find a buffet and he has told me that is a nice place to eat, because I am especially excited about to go there next week. "It's a little bit expensive", he said, "but to eat all you can and a very nice food really worth the price". At night he has seen the light-up falls and the best option there it's to go home as late as you can.

They have been thinking about to go to Niagara Falls again and maybe enjoy a little bit more of the nature from the other side of the falls, because you can see better the beauty of the water falling down until the river. He said that he wanted to do this by himself. By yourself you are able to do what you want, but he is still thinking about to do it by an agency.

When he has been talking about this trip he has always a smiley in his face. However, there is not to many places to go and many things to do in this place, but that's enough if you are a tourist looking for new experiences.

Kei's vacations!!

Kei is a 26 years old guy in my English class.

When he was 14 years old, he thought about to take a great vacations in U.S.A. just for fun. He went to an agency in Japan to get information. There, the person in charge told him about Newton in Kansas. He did not have any option because that place was the only available for the kind of trip that he wanted. He thought that the trip would be interesting and decided to go.

For Kei, Newton is a small city, and he think that the people there do not have a lot of things to do.

He really loved the house where he spent this time, it was a farm, he had a lot of space to do a lot of differents activities or just rest.

The host family were very nice people; father and mother, they had a 14 years old daughter and a 12 years old son. Kei had a really good time with the son, because they liked to play basket ball. Kei loves play basket ball, the person he wishes most to be like is Michael Jordan. In that days he went to the movie theater with the complete family and watched an Arnold Swarchenegger film, he liked it so much because he loves actions movies.

The food was a very different experience, the mother almost never cooked, they went out for dinner. And sometimes, when the mother cooked, they just had potatoes with salt for dinner!. Kei really missed his favorite relative who is his brother, because he can cook. He knew Taco Bell and he really loved it.

But, in this one month vacation, the most exiting experience for Kei was shoot a gun.
That was the first time when he shot a gun! He already remembered this experience clearly.

My Interview with Teresita

When she was 13 years old, her grandmother invited Teresita to a four days trip to Creel. Tere has been so glad of it because she likes to do things with her family. This was a special trip because she went alone with her grandmother. Unfortunately her sister Sarahi who is her best friend was too young to enjoy them.

Tere remembers well to the village and the hotel. It consisted of a lot little houses, which are called "Cabanas". They has been made by log cabin. In the centre was a big fireplace and also everywhere made of spruce, pine and firs, which smelled good.

Near their accommandation was a little beautiful waterfall. Normally Teresita is afraid of mice but this way to the fall was so small and on the right side was only a descent, so for her it was a challange to go there.

Creel is not a big city. About 1000 people lives there. The village has not a lot of stores, some supermarkets and drug stores. It did not metter to Tere. She enjoyed to walk around, watching the trees and just relaxing.

This vacation took only four days but for her it is a remembrance for her whole life. I think Tere is easily pleased. She does not need always something special. At the moment she is also very satisfied with her life, she does not wish some changes. She is very proud of her career of computer system engineering and she changed as desired her weight last year. Her idol is a spanish pop singer called Natalia. She loves her music. I imagine Tere is a person, who thinks first to other people and then to herself. The persons she would most like to help are the poor children all over the world. She is always wearing her most important possession. It is a locket from her boyfriend.

Ana's travel story ( written by Hide )

Ana has been to Porto seguro, which is located in the east of Brazil, with her cousin whose name is Adriana a few month ago. The reason why she went to there was very sad. Before she went to there, she had broken with her boyfriend and she was depressed at that time. So, her father gave her this travel to heal her broken heart. Porto seguro was very nice for her, because most of the travelers went there only to have fun. There were so many bands in the beach. She drunk and danced a lot at there with another travelers. I'm not sure if she could recover her a broken heart in that trip but I guess she still has a broken heart, because she finally said she had dicided to go to Toront after this trip because of her ex-boyfriend too. I hope she will be happy while she is staying in Toronto.

Our lovely classmate Keiko!

We have a classmate twinkling like a diamond.

Keiko is a young and active girl from Japan. She has various talents for playing instruments such as piano, clarinet, saxophon,trombone and violine. She has been playing them from a childhood and joining kinds of contests. Most of her friends say that "We envy your outstanding ability for playing instruments." But she is always lower herself. How humble! She has spent much time to talk with Motoko, her most favorite cousin. Motoko has plenty of cultural experiences and even can speak 4 languages. When Keiko decided to come to Canada, she could get lots of information from Motoko.

Keiko likes to travel alone. She has traveled to a lot of famous places in Japan, when she was a high school student. She has been to Tokyo, Yokohama, Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe. Kobe was the most impressive place to her. And it is well known for beautiful nightview and diverse sea foods. She stayed there just 4 days, but she was able to get a various great memories. She ate some Chinese foods in China town there. Actually it doesn't suit Japanese taste, since it is cooked as an original Chinese way. But she was fitted to the foods soon. It might be based on her optimistic personality. She has an open mind for other cultures and easily enjoy something new. She also went to the harbor of Kobe. There were many retail stores selling fresh sushi. She looked around the landscape and enjoyed some sea foods. The pleasant experience in Kobe is still remained in her mind.

Amy Summer Vacations ( written by David )

When Amy was young , her parents took her to her aunt's cottage to had some fun . This cottage is near the mountains of North Korea, while Amy is only child she doesn't had brothers or sisters but there in her vacations she enjoyed playing with her cousin in the cottage. She had been playing in the water , fishing in the stream, and collecting strawberries, and the most interested for her was watching the mountains with her cousin.


During this vacations Amy couldn't climbed the mountains because she was too young but she enjoyed watching her parents climbing the mountain, other activities she did was eating BBQ with her entire family. All good activities had there bad part, there in the cottage were a lot of bugs and there the sun is very intense and she burned her skin, this vacation were for only two weeks, but she still goes there for all her summer vacations. The purpose of her vacations in the cottage was because she love her family more than anything and spent time with them is her preferred activity.

Amy is a very kind person that always care about her family and persons beside her , she really hates ghost and becoming fat. She is a girl that like technology last week she bougth a lap top , but she do that to improve her english skills. Is someone have difficulties with english please talk with Amy.

Bettina's Trip to Paris (Written by Kei)

Bettina has been to Paris !

She had been staying in Geneva, Switzerland to study French for a year. Her first language is German and she wanted to study French then. She has wanted to work with French or English. That's why she stayed in Geneva and stays in Toronto now. She really loves snowboard. She was able to enjoy snowboarding there. Her arms were not thin, so she was able to lift her snowboard easily. She likes her arms best of all parts of her body. She wants to be like Gian Simmon, who is one of the most famous snowboarders and has a excellent skill of snowboarding. Her most important posession is her snowboard equipments, as she spent a lot of money on them. She hasn't wanted to meet bears while she has been enjoying snowboard, but scary they are coming back to Switzerland and attacking people.

At the end of her Geneva's school life, she went to Paris with all her schoolmates. It took 7 hours to go to Paris from Geneva by bus. They left Geneva at 11 P.M. . It was a midnight bus. They were not able to sleep on the bus as they were so excited. They had been talking all night. They got to Paris at 6 A.M. . Their teachers were supposed to work as their tour guides. Unfortunately her group's teacher had never been to Paris before. Two hours later they lost their way. Their teacher was really sad. Then her friends and she took the map and asked some Parisians where they were. They were enough kind to tell them the way and speak slowly. Finally they were able to visit the Eiffel Tower, the Notre Dame Church, and the Louvre. They became tour guides of their own! She thought Paris was great. The atmosphere had been artistic, there had been many narrow streets, and the buildings had been old and beautiful. She has loved Paris. In the evening they had dinner in a boat on the Seine. They ate spaghetti with many tasting sauces. They really enjoyed their trip. She has thought the days in Paris was one of her greatest days she had ever had.

My vacation and first day of this session

I took a vacation in the last session. In the vacation I went to Motreal and Quebec by via rail. This trip was so nice. I heard from some my friends that Motreal was not good. But it was so nice for me, because I could buy alcohol not only in LCBO, but also in ordinary grocery stores. But the last 2 weeks was not good for me. I got up at 7 o'clock, ate breakfast, and wnet to bed again. I got up at noon, ate lunch, and took a nap. I thought it was so comfortable but a little lazy. This morning , I mean the first morning in this session, I had a hard time to wake me up.I got up at 7 o'clock, took a shower, ate bagles. When I came to PGIC, I could find some former classmates in the same class. I was happy to study with them again.

THE TRIP TO NEW YORK (Kaz)

What I want to talk about is my trip to New York city. Last weekend, I went to New York for the first time in my life. The New York trip was exciting for me so that the trip made my days in this staying in Canada worthwhile.

Let’s start with some background. I have always been interested in New York. One of professors in my university said that Washington is the capital of the USA, but New York is the capital of the world. I was attracted by the words. I have been longing for New York since then.

What happened was this, I visited almost every famous place in New York such as Times Square, Central Park, Broadway, Empire State Building, and SOHO. Every place was quite impressive for me. New York is so advanced that it can not be compared to Tokyo in Japan. Especially, Times Square and Broadway seemed like the center of the world entertainment. We saw a musical there and that was really awesome!

Moving on, we had a little accidents there. One of my friends was a little crazy about shopping so that she was sometimes late for the meeting time. Thereby, we missed the tour bus in sum total 2 times. Those accidents were really funny and interesting. We managed to get to next destination by ourselves and it made our trip more exciting and impressive.

Finally, I would like to say that now I am completely in love with New York. When I was in a junior high school, I was so attracted by big cities that I chose a high school in Tokyo. I prefer big cities because there are many talented people and advanced things. I want to live in New York someday. That will make my life more exciting and meaningful.

My Favorite Film

My favorite film is "Eraser in My Head," which was filmed in Korean.

The moie was filmed by I-je-hang who studied about moies in a New York univercity. I can see his talent for making moies because I could not help crying when I saw the movie.

One day, Chul-su, who is a con man, and Su-jin, who is a scatterbrain girl but pure, met and fell in love with each other. They had some problems until their marriage because Su-jin is Chul-su's boss's daughter, but they finally got married. However, the serious problem was wating for them. Su-jin got a young Alzheimers'. It meant that she forget about her lover, Chul-su. It was a more heavy good-bye than death.

The movie was a marvelous film. I have two reasons why. First, Son ye-jin who acted Su-jin shows abrilliant talent of acting. The time which she remembered her husband and the time which she did not remember are depicted well by her. Second, Jung-woo-song who acted Chol-su said, "after I finished reading the script, I went to meet the director, not to say about my acceptance, but to tell him congratulations for his good work. "

I agree with him because the directors' script has remained in my memory. Especially, the line, "I hope the memory is kept in my head is the memory which I am with you." is staied in my head storongly. Inaddition, when I read the line again, the line makes me to cry again.

So, I think the film should be seen by a lot of people.

The title of my talk is"Genetically Modified Foods"

Do you afraid of your health, when you choose foods? Now and then I am worried about my health, when I choose foods, because I like eating. If I gave up myself to eating something, I could not stop them and could eat same foods for a week. I know that they are not good for my health. they are kind of a drug to me. After I ate so much food, I thought that if only I had not had it, Iwould not have a regret. I wish I kept healthy body for my whole life.

How about GM foods? Do you afraid of them, when You choose foods? When I was in Japan, I used to care about them. After I came here, I have never cared about them, because I did not know GM food signs in Canada. Actually, I did not know them exactly. I made blind assumptions that they are dangerous. I took a discussion skills class in the afternoon. My classmates and I discussed them. I could not say my opinion. I did not have my opinion about them. I wanted to consider them.

Moving on, if people did not have GM foods, people would suffer from a food shortage. the population is increasing. They show excellent resistance to disease and harmful insects. It means that we could reduce to use agricultural chemicals. Another thing, they stay keeping fresh for a long time and have good taste. If we did not cross plants, we could not eat new vegetables.

They also have disadvantage. they could cause unpredictable effects to our health. Some people would have allergy. they are like an artificial being that could disturb the global ecological balance. In addition, Some people do not know about them. We unknowingly would eat them. they sound horrible. Nobody knows exactly what is happening. I wish they would be all right. If I did not discuss them, I would not care about them in Toronto. I should have researched them before. I have to be careful. I will try to find good food for me.

Finally, I would like to say that we must see them with our own eyes and must make a decision by ourselves. We have to control our bodies by ourselves.

My dream.

Sometimes, I think I should not have wasted the time when I was in high school. During I was a high school student, I hadn't decided what was my dream yet. I just studied things I had to do to enter university. It was quite boring.

After 2 years I entered a university, I had a dream to be a trader. I wanted to work in trading field. However, I know that it sould need many different skills to be a trader. Before I came to Canada, I planned my life and made a list I had to do for my dream and life. During that time, I was sorry that I had not prepared anything for my future.

When I was studying in my university, I had many difficulties because the studies were so difficult for me. I had to understand not only trading and enconomics but also other countrise's history, culture, political and geography. If I had studied these things in high school even basic things, I could have got better grades in university and I could get better opportunities in my future.
