I admired Seu Jin Kyu who used to be a U.S army.
3 years ago, I read her autobiography and I admired her life story.
Twenty years ago, she worked for a wig factory because she was very poor. Suddenly, she decided to go to America to study. The moment she made her new plan, everyone ridiculed her dream and egnored her plan because living in other countries was not common at that time but she went to America to study.
As soon as she arrived America, there were many difficulties. She had no money and she couldn't speak English either. However she wasn't flustrate and would always keep smile on her face. She went to school and worked day and night and she met a guy and fell in love with him. She got married to him but her marriage life was not happy. Even they had a young daughter, her husband abused her so she had to get divorced with him.
After she got divorced, she enlisted in the army to forget about her marrige life. However, she got into difficulties again because of English but she never gave up and studied English day and night. Also, she trained physically by herself when she was in an army service. Finally she could promote as a U.S military officer. It was the first time that a Korean woman became a U.S military officer.
And then, she planed for her future again. She wanted to go to Harvard University. She studied very hard tried and tried. As a result of her efforts, she entered Harvard when she was 36 years old. Finally she dreamed come true.
Why I was admired her, even she is a woman, she has strong passion and patience. She would never give up whatever she started and although she had a lot of difficulties in her life divorce, language problem and poverty, she was very optimistic and she used to try to study and ended up dreamed come true. After I read her autobiography, I reflected on myself about my laziness also I thought my goal and I wanted to be like her. Dream is very important in our life. Dream makes me happy and proud of myself. I'll study very hard and I'll do my best like her.
